Coincidence 2: The Miracle of The Speakers

How I Got The Speakers for BB9

Alot of coincidences happened in October 2018.  God works in mysterious ways. I was in a bind of finding speakers for the upcoming event, Breakin' Bread 9! I had the DJ locked down but no speakers as of early October. The event was in 2 weeks.

I called the manager of Chichos, Antoine, to see if he had speakers for me to use.  Last year, he mentioned he had speakers but sadly, he did not follow through with getting the speakers.  However,  he was my only option! And so I texted....

He texted back and said he can try to find speakers for me.  However, he was no longer working at Chichos. This news also hit me blindside.  He remained very optimistic and stated he left my information with the new manager, Nadia.  He ensured me everything was still a "go" and that everything will turn out positive.  Antoine was always a good optimistic person with a great energy about him.  I didn't doubt his optimism.  It was a disappointment to see he wasn't a part of Chichos anymore.  It was a good business relationship formed throughout the years. If you recall, he was the guy whom I saw at the gym in my last post. He was responsible for getting Breakin' Bread the venue spots every year at Chichos.

Still I had no speakers....

A few days later, I was at a continuing education course to keep my license in physical therapy assisting.  We had a one hour break for lunch. I decided to head to Hooters which was about 10 minutes away from the course location.  When I get there, the place was empty with just a few customers. I look around and see a friend of mine cooking whom I haven't seen in years.  This is where the coincidence happened! I see an old friend, Tasha.

Tasha, the cook, has helped out with some break jams before with the speakers situation. She and her dad own a speaker company (PA systems).  I went up to her and we began to catch up. She asks, "you need help with the sound system this year?!?"  Honestly I was caught up just seeing an old friend and it didn't even occur to ask about speakers. Then she hits me with, "you need help with the sound system?"

That's when I knew God worked in mysterious ways and in his own time.  He had found somebody for me and He had answered my prayers. God bends time and places situations in front of you to help better yourself and others. When she asked the question, I immediately felt God's energy and how comforting it is to be guided by Him. He said to me clearly, do not worry, I am here listening and helping you.

Of course, I told Tasha that I needed speakers and how coincidentally, I was actively looking for somebody to help me out.  I told her that God works in mysterious ways. She replied, "God puts the right people together all the time."  We both agreed.  We encouraged each other about making sure Hip Hop was represented correctly to the next generation. She was adamant about how Hip Hop can change a persons life.

I hit her up that evening. We are now we are gearing up for Breakin' Bread 9: Transitions November 10th with speakers. In a deeper thought, God listened and provided speakers that makes sound. In other words, When God listens, he provides sound. You are truly amazing...
